Post subject:  New help setting up new TI

I bought a new TI a few days ago and trying to get the lines run properly before I do the maiden, hopefully this weekend.
This can't be much of a problem as it is only 2 lines in question ,but since the manual does not cover it and I have nothing to go by, a little help would be appreciated.

The pics show where the pulleys are vacant starting with the very back:

It's got to be this line or the next but just not sure with no diagrams.

Thanks..

In the top picture, the little pully is only used if you choose to rig the pully's for 3:1 the default is 2:1. 3:1 gives you more force pulling in the sail but you have to pull twice the line.

The second picture looks fine.

In the 3rd picture, the other end of the black sheet-line (not the end in the fifth picture) needs to go through the side pully just forward of that cleat and then in the cleat.

In the 4th picture, the line needs to clear the small plastic bit and only go around the larger pully.

Fifth looks fine.

I hope this helps.

Thank you..

You said #2 is fine- but it's ok that the second pulley is not used in pic 2?

Several people on FB pointed to this video and it was all I needed. Just tested in my backyard when I got home from work and now everything works like it should. Thank you Rockin Robin
Hobie should put this info in the manual or link her video. Going to test this weekend in a nearby river-crossing my fingers I don't screw up.

I live in Mobile Al which is unique because it's 1 hour from MS Gulf Coast and also 1 hour from Pensacola/Navara area. Once I gain some confidence, will go to those areas as well.

Hobie tech support finally wrote me back today- but they sent me diagrams on how the rudder lines go- not the main sheets lines.

I sent them a link to that video so hopefully they can be more helpful in the future with new owners with the same issue.

But my maiden on Saturday turned out great! Launched in a nearby creek, then to the river and then to the bay. Ordered the tramps as soon as we got home.

If you are on the line about buying a TI -just do it. It was loads of fun and so easy - and no complaints from my fiancé who is normally scared of her own shadow (and alligators, catfish and other marine life/etc).

Can't wait to take it to Fla next year!
