Just bought my new wave. Family loves it. One question though. It seems that no matter how tight I get my trampoline there is still some play with my front cross bar sliding between the :D two hulls, About an inch. Is this normal?

The cross bars should not be loose. There should not be any significant play.
I assume you have double check that the tramp is installed correctly and that it is laced correctly.

I would suggest calling Hobie on that one.

Wave Tramp

Sorry I did not see this post earlier!

The crossbar stops (underside of crossbar) should seat against the hulls. The trampoline keeps it there. Is this the original Classic version? The trampoline cables must be very tight.

I just purchased a new wave and have found similiar play in the foward cross bar.It started after I headed out to open sea in heavy surf and I believe it is due to the tension on the tramp ties.It has not caused any problems and I have made no adjustments.....Just sail and have fun.Ben
