1950 - Hobie designs his first surfboard.
1954 - Hobie opens his first shop in Dana Point, Ca.
1958 - Introduction of first foam and fiberglass surfboards. 1962 - Skateboards.
1966 - Sportswear.
1968 - Hobie christens the first Catamarans.
1972 - The Hobie Cat becomes the world's best selling            Catamaran.
1982 - Hobie Sunglasses is born.
1994 - Float Cats.
1995 - Hobie launches the Tri Foiler.
1996 - Hobie introduces Bodyboards, Snowboards,            Wakeboards, and Waterskis.
