Hello all, day 2 of the 11 City Tour is finished as I was able to pull out another victory today and I put 11 more minutes on the closest persuers. I have 20 minutes on second place, 21 minutes on third and 40 minutes on fourth. I just need to paddle smart the next three days however I will be helping my Hobie team mate Xavi from Spain secure second tomorrow. It will become a drafting party the next three days to keep an eye on all of the competitors. Today was as predicted, windy 25mph in our face for the first 15 miles and then downwind the remainder of the day. I was planning to draft with the Spanaird all day however he got a slow start and never was able to catch up with me and then he was with the 3rd and fourth place paddlers the entire day and I was left paddling the entire race on my own out front all day with no help. I was still able to conserve energy and have my battle plans for the next three days. The 11 City Tour has already been a great experience with the culture and country side. We have a day of rain and lots of wind in store for us tomorrow, day 3. Looking forward to some 35mph downwind paddling as it will keep the field close together and not much of a chance for anyone to do something crazy and gain any time on me.
