Anyone have experience mounting and using a lowrance 3-in-1 transducer on a TI? I mainly fish the Chesapeake Bay which can be pretty shallow at points and make sidescan useful. But with hull shape, finding a protected mount, etc I'm just not sure its worth it. Thanks for any thoughts! |

Greetings. I just installed the GPSMAP 743XSV with the transducer in my TI. I used the Lowrance plate. I cut off the mounting tabs for the through bolt and ran some tie wraps through the holes already in the plate. This weekend we took it out for a spin and it seemed to work fine in the Indian River by New Smyrna, Fl. The depth went from 0 to about 25' I did not notice any issues with it not working in side scan, down scan and traditional. I was even able to pick up the mooring ropes on the sailboats I went by in the river. I am a total novice at it, but it seemed to work through the plate just fine. I look forward to mounting the display unit in a more permanent fashion. Good luck, D. |

I use a Hummingbird 998c HD SI with side imaging on my TI. It works great up to about 200 ft or so. With greater depths, it's harder to get a good image to the sides, which is normal. |
