Hello,
Looking to purchase Tandem Island preferably with trailer. The closer to Washington DC the better but willing to travel to pick up. Thanks

Check on Craigslist. I saw one in the Annapolis area. 2012 with trailer.

Thanks found it. 2012 TI is there anything that you know of that I may need to watch out for. I'm new to this type of boat. Any advantages buying a newer model year TI?

They didn't change from 2010 to 2014. Of course the advantages of the new model are the seats, reshaped bow, sail cut height, and the new mirage drives. We demoed a 2014 and we're very pleased. It's what sold us on the boat.

I looked for a while last year and soon as I found out about the new seats, I decided to wait for the 2015 TI. They definitely look to keep you from sitting in a puddle, which I read a lot of complaints about. There are also some other changes such as the dual bunges on the amas and new bow shape. I am waiting on my new 2015 to come in, so I can only offer so much advice. I am a newbie too. I also wanted a warranty and a dealer that could help me with any questions or problems. If you think you want the 2012, I would move fairly quickly. I have only seen a few for sale in the last 6-8 months in the area.

I went to the local Hobie dealer. The new seats in the 2015 TI are much improved. They have lower cushion height and tilt adjustment also you can remove from the boat and install short legs (6", which store under the seat) and seat on shore. The backrest also tilts(similar to the old seat) but one hand operation is the improvement. Backrest has a neat lumbar adjuster on it also, wish I had the bucks to purchase 2015 model. Thanks for the input.

I have a May 2010 Tandem Adventure Island that has hardly been used. It has all required upgrades and some added features, such as tramps & spray wings. It is located on Nandua Creek at Pungoteague, VA, about 3 hours from Annapolis. I can deliver in the Balto/Wash area. Reasonable offers considered.
