Anyone ever have the cable from the chain assembly break? Happened to me at a bad time this past weekend. Was covered under warrantee, I have a great dealer that took care of it, just wondering how common it is. One thing nice about the oasis, there is always an extra part handy! Guess I'll add a spare chain assembly to the repair kit anyway...not cheap though! |

The cable to chain fitting can be stressed. This is and issue with all products like this... bikes, sailboat rigging. The chain is included in our spare parts kit. Not as much (maybe not at all) an issue with the V2 drums and newer chains. The fitting where the cable enters is not close to where it would get stressed (bent) on the new drums due to the redesign. |

I am very seriously looking into getting a 2009 revolution, the improvements over the '08 models, especially when upgrading to the turbo fins seems well worth it. The '08 oasis is great for us both, but adding ballast when I use it alone is getting cumbersome. Matt do you think the turbo's add to much stress on the older drives verses the '09 drives and new click and go system? |

There is no doubt that the improvements in sprockets, drums, cables / chains and the click-n-go feature are great. Especially for Turbo upgrades. |

I had my cable break right where it meets the chain. Fortunately this was not at a critical time, but it makes me concerned about failure when I am depending on the Drive ( inlets , ocean etc ) . Inspecting the other cable doesn't show any broken strands. I have an 08 i12 should this get covered under warranty ? Matt ? |
