Does anyone know if Hobie will sell just a hull and rudder setup?

I already have an oasis, would like to get an "09 revo. The drives, paddle, seats are exchangeable between the two yaks. It would give me the best of both worlds.

Approach dealers in your area. My dealer sells drives, paddles and seats (I've bought a few), so see what type of deal they would offer you.

Interesting question.

I'm pretty sure that Hobie will only send dealers a "naked" hull for warranty replacement. So a dealer would have to want to keep all the loose parts. I can see it happening, but best as I know it's never happened at Mariner. Not sure if anyone's asked though.

Check with your local dealer.

we've done it in house, several customers have multiple kayaks and never use them all at once. Hobie will sell just a hull and rudder but its like pulling teeth and you would be foolish not to but the mirage drive for the little bit more, and I mean a little bit. We always sell a few mirage drive a year so we work in house deals on a case by case basis for customers and put the drives in inventory.

my local dealers answer to your question, and it makes a lot of sense, is buy it and then try selling extra equipment on craigslist or Ebay. You will be amazed how many people have lost stuff to the bottom of a lake. believe me the parts cost a lot more then the whole boat. so you may came out ahead a little.

I'll talk to my local dealer. May be easier to buy the entire yak, didn't think it would be so involved!
