Post subject:  Best seat position for Revo

Hi
This may seem like a funny question, but here goes anyway..

I've recently purchased a hobie revo (first time kayaker) and have been experimenting with different seat positions whilst both paddling and pedaling. I've found it a little easier to paddle with the seat in the closest position to the pedals but I think the wind seems to catch me more when coming from the stern quarter, and this makes steering while paddling difficult. I am also unsure if the forward seat position is likely to put too much weight in the front of the yak when moving down the face of a big wake or wave.
My height is around 168cm, weight 60kg.
Anyone else around this size got any insights to best seat position in the revolution:?:

Welcome mambo!
I don't have a Revo but I regularly paddle my Adventure. I like to have the seatback pulled up tight to give better back support when paddling and loosen it off so that I am leaning back when pedaling. I also pull the drive out and raise the rudder when paddling which lessens drag and increases speed. Cross winds can create tracking problems though, so then the rudder goes back down, set to straight ahead. Of course if the winds are too strong I forget about paddling and the drive goes back in!
