Post subject:  Should the mast receiver tube wobble at the bottom

I was replacing the transducer in the my Revo and I noticed that mast receiver tube has about 1/8" play at the bottom. I don't recall any play in the tube when I originally installed the transducer.

I did mange to turtle my Revo twice  when sailing this summer so I am wondering if I have managed to damage the tube then. There is no obvious sign of damage.

Is this normal or should I replace the tube.

Cheers
Grant

You can remove the the fitting to inspect. Use a VERY long and large slot screw driver from the top and down inside to the base and un-thread the part from the hull. Inspect and re-insert.

Cheers Matt. I removed the tube and there was no sign of damage.

When I screwed it back down I noticed it didn't go all the way down to the hull. I will place some silicone under the tube which should do the trick.

Regards
Grant

Just be sure it is seated over the nub in the hull.
