I have an 09 Oasis that has a nasty hole in it. From day one, the Mirage Drive has been difficult to insert in the rear drive well. See my post in this thread where I posted about it back in November: http://www.hobiecat.com/community/viewt ... highlight= Well, it is not just a snug fit, it is too snug of a fit, and the Mirage drive has now wore a hole in the drive well. I have not excessively used the Kayak. Since purchasing it several months ago, I have used it maybe 20 times. Repairing the hole will be futile, as it will just develop a new hole. Inserting the Mirage drive in the front drive well is effortless, the difference is in the rear, where it is difficult to insert. The last couple of outings in the Kayak, the hull is taking on a lot of water. I mistakenly thought the water was coming through the rudder string holes until noticing the hole today. Here is the pic of the hole. What do I do to get a new hull? ![]() |

contact the dealer you bought it from, they will advise from there. The mirage drive not dropping in easily should be an easy fix, we are going to do our 1st one last this week, about a 15 min project. |

Jorhyne, Let your dealer know about this so that they can file a warranty claim for you. We don't recommend trying to repair below the waterline, especially in the drivewell. Brendan |

I emailed my dealer and sent him this photo. When they ship a new hull, does it come with the rudder hooked up? I would hate to have to go though the nightmare of rigging the rudder lines up. |

Just curiuous...Why didnt you imediatly after having a problem not take it back to the dealer? Didnt the dealer set it up, Go over the whole boat with you including testing the fit of the drives? |
