I just finished the Mississippi Challenge. a 44 mile two day event. We started 22 miles up stream from Minneapolis, camped at Ft. Snelling. Four hundred twenty paddlers and three peddlers. I was on a Revolution and the other two were Outbacks. I averaged 3.5 mph , not bad for a full boat and a 61 yr. old guy.

Now that sounds like fun. I also have a Revo & am 65. Was the group part of a paddling club?
If I took my wife along in her Sport I would have to find a five star hotel for her to stay in for the night.
On the Mississippi that possibly could be done.
Any pictures?

This event is held each year by the Friends of the Mississippi River. A web site is Mississippi River Challenge.
