Hi, I just sold my OK trident 15 last week and picked up a hobie revolution in papaya flavor. Last night while looking over the new gal , deciding how im gonna rig her, i noticed three small bumps in a triangle formation on the bottom of my hull. When you look under the kayak you see a darkened area where the bumps are. Outside the hull is smooth. Inside the hatch, about 2-3 from center the bumps appear. Is this something to cause concern? Will it cause cracks? Is this a deformity in the molding process? Is it possible to get this kayak replaced? roger |

Borg, welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new Revo! The random accumulation of extra material on the inside is not uncommon with rotomolding -- looks darker because it's thicker (less translucent). I have a very similar spot that I can see from the center hatch also. It shouldn't hurt a thing. Enjoy your new boat! ![]() |

The is due to material accumulated and dropped from a vent in the mold located where the hatch is cut. Very common to see a lump or thicker patch in this area. We sometimes grind it down a bit if really uneven. |
