Post subject: | Drum loose on mirage drive.... |
I have a 3 year old mirage drive. Ive done various maintenance on it to keep them up to snuff. This time, its the drums that are loose and have play in them. I know I need to replace the drums, but what else to I need to buy for proper maintenace? Do I need a new main cross shaft? I'm thinking the cables need to be replaced too. They look fine, but if I'm going to replace the drums, might as well update them and the cables? Thanks in advance for your advice. /bing |

If you're gonna have to replace the drums, buy the new cables and you'll have upgraded the drive to "most" of a V2 drive (except the V2 sprockets & masts). |

This turning into a $ 150 maintenance job. I just spent 100 bucks fixing up the pedals (pedal axels developed play and wobble) and the sprockets (mast slipped out and deformed mast hole/went for the upgrade). Aiyee! Well, 3 years aint too bad, but maybe I shouldve just bought a new drive for $ 400 ![]() /bing |
