yes - its to insert into a Scotty mount (flush or deck/side - either one) if you prefer a ram tube or other ram accessory, but already have a Scotty mount on your yak and don't want to add another mount, you can just use that ball set-up instead. |

so then whats the screw on the bottom for? scotty products, you just push it in when the tab aligns and then twist it to lock. does this workt he same way? thanks for the help! |

The conversion post doesn't look like it will twist and lock in requiring the screw to keep it in place. |
