I've owned this trailer for three years, haul the tandem bike, tandem kayak and bicycles with it. You can even have him build two levels to put the yak on top and the bikes on the bottom. And I'll be darned, he is now a Hobie dealer!! http://www.sportsrig.com/overview.html The trailer is easy to move around and store in the garage. We absolutely love it! As I have a bad back, lifting a 70lb kayak on the roof is not an option. So check it out! Lisa |

Its like the yakima Rack&Roll (similar anyway) we evaluated it here for a while, but we went with our own Aluminum trail instead as it was about half the cost at retail. We offer two trailers for kayaks - a single and a tandem version. We have cradle sets for Pro Angler and Island boats - and then adjustable carpeted bunks for all other kayaks to carry 2 kayaks side-by-side. If you want to see our trailers visit our website and download the catalog or visit a dealer and pick up a copy for free. http://www.hobiecat.com/kayaking/accessories.html catalog download direct to trailer page link: http://www.hobiecat.com/support/pdfs/ka ... _18-19.pdf |

The Sports Rig is the earlier generation trailer design that evolved into the Rack & Roll. Both were designed by the same guy but sold by different companies. Both of these trailers distinguish themselves from the rest by having built-in car roof racks by Thule or Yakima ...plus larger tires. Yes, these are expensive but very flexible rigs. I usually place 2 Hobies and 2 bikes on my Rack & Roll. And I can switch that config to hold 4 bikes within minutes. I travel at 80 mph down interstates sometimes and the trailer performs flawlessly. BTW, Rack & Roll trailers are now owned by Yakima. |
