Post subject:  old drive, new drive--warrenty?

A warrenty question for Matt. I purchased an I14T in May of this year. I just noticed
one of my drives is an old model with the set screw in the mast and the main shaft is
rounded not tapered like the new one. I contacted my selling dealer and he said he filed
a warrenty claim (about a week ago). Now he's on vacation for two weeks. Is there any
way I can deal direct with Hobie on this or do I have to wait for my selling dealer to get
back?

The old drive works fine, I just feel I bought an '09 and should have the latest design.

Other than this minor problem, we love our new toy!!

Thanks in advance-

Exactly the way I understand it. My kayak is an '09-so both drives should have the
brass insert and screw in mast. Unfortunately I have one of each.

Simple to update, so work with the dealer as you have been.

Both of my drives are now the latest style V2. Conversion was easy,
thanks Hobie-great customer service!!

Will my I14T go faster now??
