Sorry if this has been covered before ... will the drum shaft of a new click n go drive fit into the locking cam on an older kayak? I tried last night & it seems that the diameter of the drum shaft on the newer drive is a little thicker than the old. Thanks |

Should fit. The diameter is the same... over all length is the same. The ends are beveled rather than rounded now. Maybe off center? |

thx for the fast response. I was trying to put the "new" drive (with ST fins that I installed) from my 2009 Sport into my wife's 2008 Sport for her to try. I thought I had read somewhere or been told by my dealer that it would fit. I'll play with it now. I wanted to make sure first before I forced anything. |

Thanks. I'll try it. When I tried to put the click n' go drive from my Sport (with ST fins that I installed) into my wife's older Sport for her to try out, it seemed like the shaft was a little bigger and I didnt want to force it. |
