Post subject:  leak with 07 Outback and Turbo fins?

Hi folks --

Since going to turbo fins in my 07 outback, I'm seeing a substantial amount of water in my hull. I mean several gallons, during a typical outing. I think the additional force of the fins is causing the drive-well to flex and letting in water.

My boat is an '07 purchased in May of 2006. So I'm assuming the 2-year hull warranty is long up. Is there any recommended fix I can do as an end-user?

Thx!

There is a reinforcement kit that was advised for your boat: http://www.hobiecat.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=12571

We may offer a pro-rated cost on a replacement hull that is outside the normal warranty period. Contact your dealer to evaluate the hull and file a claim.

thx Matt -- I appreciate it. I called my dealer and he was pretty helpful, and I'll bring him the boat next week, or when I can get a chance to pick it up at the coast. I will say the Turbo fins make a monstrous difference, and are terrific in the Outback, much more so than I imagined.
