Post subject:  Water inside hull mirage outback

hi

I would like to know if there is an easy way to empty the water inside the hull, since the little opening in the back, besides de rudder does not empties all the water. It alway stays at the bottom some quantity, that later I use a hose to take it out but it is very tedious.

Thanks

Try a small sponge. There should be very little water left inside the hull after tipping the hull up to drain through the drain hole.

I never empty my water at the drain plug that is near impossible without accidentally tearing up your rudder, I use a 20 oz. water bottle(which I cut in half) and tip my yak on the stand I built then use a sponge (Best sponge I found is at wally world for cars it has a mesh jacket around the sponge couple of dollars) The Cut Water bottle is my pea jug!.....Steve

I never bother with the drain plug either. Tilting one end down slightly I use an old yogurt cup to scoop out the water through a front or back hatch, then throw a small towel in and wring it out -- makes short work of the water. If you can, always store the boat with the hatches open or ajar for at least a day to let some fresh air flush out the remaining humidity. 8)
