How do you remove the Outback "mast receiver"? The hole in front of the pedal to put the sail in. I purchased a used Outback that had a transducer installed, with a solid foam brick that has a hole that appears to have had the mast receiver slid in. I've tried counter clock wise, pull and it didn't budge. Don't really want to take pliers to until I can confirm that the right method to move it correctly to make some adjustments to the transducer. Thanks in advance. |

If current configuration... plastic part. There is a slot for a very long slotted screw driver in the bottom. Lefty-loosey... unscrew the fixture. Threads are at the top where it passes through the deck. The bottom rests on a small fixture molded into the hull. |

In case you have not tried it yet, it is very tight. I had to have my strong son in law come over and do it for me (I had back surgery on 03/09/2010). It does come out though. Many thanks for asking the question. |
