I was out in Montana visiting my future father in law last week and noticed that he had a peculiar looking hobie product in his garage.. he said it was a hobie float-cat... it looked like a raft thing with 2 hulls and a platform/seating area in the middle.. does this product still exist? I googled around and found this picture of it:  I did find the floatcat page on hobies site... but it's not in the menus.. Yep... this product was discontinued this year. Hobie Alter himself developed this long after he sold off Hobie Cat. We took on the product from him in the 90s. |

My father had one. He liked it because he felt much more stable in it. It was pretty effective for tooling around calm bays catching sipping trout. |
