i was wondering what hobie kayak would be best for me? well first off i'm 5 foot 9 inches. i weigh 280 lbs. i consider my self stocky and pretty agile for a big guy. i want to use it mostly for recreational adventures. lakes and bays. i will be using it for my self and maybe my 25lbs dog.

I have a Revolution, it's weight limit is 350 lbs. It's a great boat, but I might go with a little more buoyancy. The Outback is a similar boat that is a bit wider, and has a weight limit of 400 lbs. That would be my recommendation for you, unless you fish. If you fish, you can't go wrong with the Pro Angler. It's weight limit is 600 lbs, and it's the best fishing kayak ever built. It's won all kinds of awards. So between the Outback and the Pro Angler, I thing you'll find the perfect boat for you.
