Post subject:  Plastic adheseive

What type of plastic is the Revolution made of? Will Polyurethane construction adhesive hold on it?
In order to eliminate "skeg rash" I made a stainless steel cover for the skeg.
I could attach it with bolts but I'd rather not drill in the bottom below the waterline, if I don't have to.

The kayaks are molded from Polyethylene. There has been discussion in these forums about adhesives. I believe roadrunner discovered that a 3M Scotch Weld DP 8010 was quite good.

If I used bolts, would it void the warranty?

If the boat were to crack due to drilling and using bolts? That would not be covered by warranty. Would not effect any other issue that might come up.
