The weight limit on the Revolution is 350 lbs. So I would assume that by weight alone, you can carry your 7 year old. Just keep in mind that the rudder control cords have small openings and you may get a tiny bit of extra water in the hull if those go under, nothing to worry about, but when you get out and wonder where the leak is... it's probably those. Another thing to keep in mind, with the mirage drive boats, the seat can be moved forward, and the pedals can be adjusted for shorter legs... maybe it's an opportunity to show some trust in the 7 year old, and let them take it out for a short spin!  ...... because if you haven't figured that out yet... your 7 year old sure will!!Happy Kayaking! |

Steve Yes I have 3 grandkids ages 4-9 and all like to go with me on my outback they sit on the hatch between my legs and are not in the way for peddling.
