I just bought a used Hobie Mirage Tandem (01 I think since that is the last digits of the SN) and it has two dents in the hull, right behind the drive holes. The dents aren't too deep, maybe 1/2 an inch, but they are big, around 6 inches in diameter. I have read a lot about getting dents out on the forum, but I just wanted to make sure that they aren't a design "feature" on the older models, since they are approx the same shape and size. Also, thanks for the great forum. Lots of info on here. I am really enjoying my Hobie, even with the small dents. |

Likely from storage... not part of the design for sure. Try the techniques you have read about fixing. They are mostly cosmetic and won't really effect performance in a noticeable way. |
