Post subject:  What repair items do you always bring when you head out?

I'd like to assemble a standard kayaking kit that contains all of the most necessary items required to "save the day" when things go wrong on a Mirage kayak outing. I'm not really talking about safety equipment as I've got a special dry bag just for those items. For this kit I'm looking for items needed to repair a mirage drive and otherwise allow you to continue without returning home.

Do you guys carry an extra set of fins and masts? What tools and items are absolutely necessary? Extra cordage? Redundant fasteners and pins? Anything for rudder repair? Sail repair?

If this has already been discussed, feel free to link to an existing discussion.

Thanks!

If I'm going more than a couple of miles from shore, then I carry a spare Mirage Drive. It has gotten me out of trouble a few times when my drive decided to break 3-5 miles from shore.

On a toolkit, here's a post with what I carry for repairing the AI: http://www.hobiecat.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=8424&highlight=

The V2 Miragedrive is greatly improved from the earlier versions and is now much more reliable.
Parts do wear out and I have broken an idler cable and a drivechain, so I carry spares of those.
I also carry a spare Turbo mast and sprocket (un-assembled) just in case.
I broke five V1 Turbo masts in 2+ years but no V2's in 1+ year of use.
A spare rudder pin is also a good idea. :)
Remember too that even with a broken drive it can usually still be used. :)
Checkout Roadrunners older (V1) but still applicable excellent post:

See? I never would have thought of rudder pins. I'm glad I asked.
