Post subject:  Older Tandem Mirage Rudder for sailing

I remember seeing some posts in the past that had the old style "up/down" rudder system on the Tandem Mirage (Oasis) that were converted to larger rudders or "twist n stow" rudder systems but I cannot seem to find any of those posts now. If anybody has some info on this that I could pass on to a customer it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Greg,
The original post disappeared but I did repost some of the details here:
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=16964&p=86942
If I was doing it again I wouldn't cut the original mechanism at all but would reshape the rudder blade to fit (one of Roadrunner's suggestions)
Ignore the extra lines I added back then. This was before the separate up/down lines came out.
I have recently upgraded to the full twin up/down lines using an Adventure upgrade kit. For that to work I had to tie down the older pull up rudder mount to the little brass hull insert.
It was an easy fit and works well! :)
