I was offered a used Hobie Classic for sale. I am 6' 3" and weigh 265. I see that the Classic has a Capacity of 250. What issues I will face at my weight? |

The Classic is a great little boat, but at your height and weight there won't be a lot of surplus stability. The boat will sit pretty low in the water, and you may be maxed out on pedal distance. A great alternative at your height is the Adventure -- longer cockpit, 350# capacity, faster, more sea worthy, and with many improved systems (hatches, storage above and below deck, sailing capabilities, etc). There is no weight issue with any of the other models (except the Sport) but I think the Adventure would best accommodate your leg length with regard to pedaling. ![]() |
