Hello all,
I've got a 2007 Revolution that I've had for three years. After I was done fishing the other night I noticed some water in the hull which I've never had before. After getting home and inspecting the kayak I found a nice crack right underneath the cam lock knob where the mirage drive locks down.
You can see the crack pretty good in these pictures.
So where does this leave me? Can I still get the hull replaced even though its over 2 years old? I'm going to call the dealer tomorrow and see what they think but I was hoping I could get some help here first. I don't abuse the kayak at all and I believe this is a defect in the hull itself. I read that the crack can be patched with a PVC cap and some goop but I'd rather not have to fix it myself if I don't have to. I'm really hoping Hobie will take care of this because as of now I can't use the kayak because it slowly takes on water and I don't think I can go out for too long.
What should I do guys?! I freaking love this thing and I don't think the crack is permanently fixable since it's on a spot that is under a lot of pressure. Thanks.
