I am getting ready to put a new tube and line kit (80020001) in my Outback Twist-n-Stow Rudder (Up/Down control) and have been reviewing the Hobie docs. I may be overlooking it, but is there any recommended lubricant when reassembling the drum housing on the rudder? Will a shot of V & S 781 Dry Silicone do the trick or is anything necessary? Apologies if this has been covered in numerous posts already. I did a quick search, but did not find it.

Personally, I would omit any lube on the hollow bolt threads, as you want it to hold its adjusted position. I like dry silicon for any other moving parts though (lines, washer and rotating rudder mount at bolt head). 8)
