Just had an idea for a more durable flipper design. If a heavy duty stainless steel spring was added to the base of the flipper it could handle most underwater impacts without damaging the drive. may be something like this. http://www.westcoastmall.net/shop/produ ... cts_id=467 See enlarged view of spring, could be threaded right in. Obviously it would have to be very stiff, but I think it could work. What do you think  |

We have toyed with hinging masts. There are some problems with the concept. The spring would flex to the side under load too. Keep thinking!  |

A break-away, so the whole drive isn't destroyed. Although I ran mine at full speed into some rocks last year and they only bent a little.  |
