Hello everyone!!! Any of you guys know if there's is another option to replace the sail batten on the small sailing kit (I have a i12s) The problem is that I have no dealers in my area. And I have ordered two of those twice and get damage in the shipping process. I mean something that I can get in a Home depot or other store. Thanks!!! |

You might try www.murrays.com. Not sure what your batten dimensions are but they guarantee shipping. West Marine also guarantees shipping. Seems to me only an actual batten will fill your need. |

Back in the 80's my brother-in-law and I built a wooden catamaran very similar to the H14. My wife made the sail using a plan provided by a local sail maker. We had the same problem - what to use for battens. In the end we went to a big box building supply and bought some plastic inside corner molding used in panneling. We cut them to length and notched the end so we could tension them and hold them in place. They were perhaps a bit limber but they worked well in keepint the sail proper. |
