Post subject:  Older Outback Seat

I have an older Outback that I purchased used. Underneath the seat are what appears to be two plastic inserts into which a screw is to be threaded. The seat does not have any holes in it but I am not sure that it is a Hobie seat. The seat does have an inflation bulb and an inflatable portion. How is the seat supposed to be attached so it does not slide around?

PS I also purchased a used 2009 Outback and of course it is better in the many small details. However, I personally like the old twist knobs for the mirage drive better than the new snap in place that never seem to quite snap in place properly. It usually takes me two or three tries.

Outbacks should all have the peg system for the seats. Holes are molded into the hull. Seats have pegs that insert into the holes. Maybe the pegs are in the holes? Otherwise the system was brass inserts in the seat area and had screws threaded through the seat into the holes for a more permanent seat attachment.
