Post subject:  Question to Hobie staff, how long will it take to replace?

Hi everyone, this is the first time I have posted here, but have been looking at the wealth of info that this site has to offer.
My question is how long does the warranty approval take once you have been notified of a fault in a boat?
The reason I ask is I bought a Kona last September here in Australia, NSW South Coast only 20mins from your importer in Huskisson, anyhow I took my kayak out the day after Christmas and upon arriving home I discovered a split/crack on the top of the yak, at the top of the centre scupper holes where the cart plugs in.
Now I only live 300metres from the beach and walk there, and to find a crack in the most structually sound area was a worry to me, I am taking it back to my dealer tomorrow who said they will look at at it and pass it onto Hobie, so hence where my question comes from how long at this time of year will it take? as it is the peak kayaking time for me and to be without I feel bare.

Since your boat was purchased in Australia... contact Hobie Australia for info on warranty. We do not handle warranty from your region here in the US.

In the USA... warranty is generally approved within days of complete information submission. Replacements can be delivered from dealer stock or if we need to ship... it can take a number of weeks to match the hull with an outbound truck to a specific area.
