These are Nike "Sneakerboats". Yes, they dry easily and keep their open shape so they air out well. There is a little "give" on the bottom for cushioning without having to use an insert. The sole is quite grippy so it tends to hold on to the pedal better than my others have. The longevity is good, comfort is excellent. I found them at Sports Authority. Retail was about $40, but I got some on sale at the end of the season for $20. They are a great improvement over the other brands I've tried -- like them enough to have two back-up pairs. I think they may have been replaced with the Sneakerboat II. Construction appears almost identical (different color and pattern) but haven't tried the latest version. ![]() |

Thanks...I found the Sneakerboat II , but they have nubuck leather and mesh now....Not real crazy about leather because of slow drying. I may still order a pair...I can't find them in stock except from China. ![]() ![]() Thanks...going to try to make those Heel straps soon. Mark. |

Hi again Mark! It's Roger from Corpus again. I just received a shoe as a present that I'm going to try out this Saturday in Redfish Bay. The brand name is Zep Pro and the model is called Teva. So far the only thing I've used them for is washing the car in the driveway. They are a combination of mesh and a rubberized material. The bottoms are real grippy so I'm hoping they will really hold on the pedals. I did manage to squeeze an answer from my wife who purchased them from a Kayak shop. She finally told me they were in excess of $50 when she bought them. I must tell you she was really sneaky about that purchase. I was tied up looking for turbo fins when she made the purchase without me knowing it. I'm going to have to make it a habit when I go to that shop to not bring her along. Who knows what she'll buy next time. ![]() |

As long as she is in the kayak shop buying stuff for you I would let her get on with it... the times you gotta worry are when she is off buying stuff on her own ![]() |

I wear New Balance Men's SM921 Water Shoes, but only for launching and landing. It's more comfortable with long legs to peddle bare foot. When it's colder, I still take my shoes off in the yak because my splash pants have built-in feet. |
