Post subject:  Add a hatch to an older Outback possible?

Hello,
Well now that I know I have a 2005 Outback, "the one with the worthless hatch under the seat", I am wondering if I can add a hatch to the area in front of the seat, like all the ones since then have.

I know Hobie sells the new type round hatches to replace exsisting ones, but I am wondering if it is possible to add a rectangular hatch in front of the seat, or even a large round one.
Does anyone know a source for these? I know to go to a HObie dealer for the round ones, but anyone have a good source for the rectangular ones?
And since I can't see a store anymore at KFS, any good source for Scotty rod holders?

I am sure these questions have been asked before, but this model seems to be so old now, pictures, advice and interest is hard to find.

I hope to use it for the next year or two, then buy something current...PA or something else...the PA weight scares me. :)
I hope to get this thing sorted out by mid-May, when I make my yearly trip to PCB.
thanks,
Rick
