3 glorious hours on Loch Lomond with a newbie who volunteers at work. He's a big lad is our chum stu so we were a bit nose heavy (He likes beer) But the outfitter is just the jinkies. The conditions in the squalls would be challenging for a conventional boat but we blasted through the waves, raced a speedboat and fed the swans. It took three attempts to get a good seat position. His posture is terrible and it's hard to get him to make personal decision for himself. "Are you comfy? are you sure? that looks hellish. don't just say yes if you are not!!"

Here are piccies to make you jealous.

I was there myself for a visit about this time last year.

We thought Loch Lomond (in fact all of the Clyde, not to mention the Isles) was an ideal spot for a Hobie kayak but unfortunately I had left mine back here in NZ.

Glad to hear that someone else has taken it upon themselves to introduce Scottish kayakers to the benefits of the Hobie mirage drive !

Yesterday A little motorboat approached and moved alongside.

"That's just a fancy pedalo...." (Apply power, maintain pace with little motorboat)

"Oh Aye?!" Thumbs up and Laughter
