Go for it!

My better 3/4 has been using them for a while and would not revert to the standard or ST fins both of which we have available to us.

Obviously the Turbo fins push more water per stroke than the other types of fin and therefore more effort per stroke is required by the pedaller. But that extra effort is offset by the fact that a given boat speed can be achieved at a slower rate of pedalling than would be achievable with the other types of fin so "what you lose on the roundabouts you gain on the swings".

Because you need to push harder on each stroke you will find that more strength is required in your legs - but your muscles will build up the required strength & endurance quickly enough the more you go out. Consequently, when you have been using Turbos for a while, you will find that going back to the other fins is like "pedalling in air" (i.e. like pedalling an exercise bike with the resistance set to zero).
