Any recommendations for lubricating the O-ring on the Adventure round hatches. The screw down handle works great but actually warps the hatch due to the amount of friction on the O-ring seating. Tried Vaseline but it only lasts for two or three hatch closings. THANKS! |

From the Hobie Factory manager... "It is important to lubricate the new gaskets to make the seal of the hatch work correctly. It is important to only use silicone for lubrication. Other lubricants can swell the gasket or make it gummy and the hatch becomes very difficult to close. Silicone spray can be found at Hobie dealers and hardware stores and is easy to use." |

Thanks for the quick reply Matt. I'll give silicone a try. |
