Is Hobie getting ready to officially come out with accessory attachments that are mounted in what used to be the Sail Mount Hole and is now called the Accessory Mount Hole.

That would be great to have an individual accessory mount to multiple use cross beam accessory mounts which would go into the "hole"!

I don't think they need to, do they? Most people (to my knowledge) afix a 1" Ram wedge mount there....from that point, there's not much you can't do as far as what to mount....If it says RAM, you can't mount it :) There was a post on the Pro angler where someone fixed a 5 slot rod holder, braced it a little, and mounted all sorts of do dads....

Can't find the post now.

Change in description reflects it's use as an electronics mount location as described in the above reply... a wedge mount. It is universal and not just for sailing.

Being deficient in mounting stuff in and on what the Hobies are made off, I prefer to have specific directions and how to use gear off the dealer's shelves.

Mr Spey: I get like that too time to time! haha Sometimes you just want it done and just go fish!

Check out the attached, should be what they are referring to.
If you have a West Marine or such around, they could easily recommend the attachments as per your needs.

Thanks.

Better things to do like fishing or getting the Yaks ready for fishing, not retro and refitting the yaks.
