Is there a way to tell the year, make and model of a used kayak from the serial number? We just got two, both have the Mirage Drive; we've been told that they are about 8-years old. Before I start buying replacement parts and accessories, I'd sure like to know that they are the right ones. Thanks |

To the best of my knowledge, as it appears in this context, CCM U , the "U" describes the original Hobie Mirage, later known as the Mirage Classic. This is the boat that started it all. Its last year of production was 2006. One of my all time favorites!
