Hmmmm... I say Hmmmmmmm...

Did you know that the Scotty Compact Threaded Deck Mount 444 (http://www.austinkayak.com/products/449 ... t-444.html) fits perfectly into the Revo11 (and Oasis) rear deck scupper hole! I can just screw it in there for a nice snug fit without having to drill an extra hole.

Plus, the bottom of the Scotty mount is open, so water can still flow through. I don't use the cart on the Revo (because i can just lift it above my head it's so light) so I won't mind not having that scupper hole at all.

This is really cool IF (and I repeat, IF) the scupper hole can take it. Anybody have a reason to think it cannot take it? On the Revo, it looks like the scupper tube is reinforced with a thicker black plastic.

Hmmm.....

The scupper inserts are not round, they are oval in shape. They were designed for ease of use with carts and to add strength in that scupper - cutting threads into them would not be a great idea I'd think. (but we have no data to support that, just my gut feeling)

Fair enough. Thank you for the opinion. I'll keep my Scotties out of those scuppers then.
