Our waters here in N California compared to many places would be considered mild. However after a couple of hours in wind and water/air temps in the 40-50 degree range, fingers and hands can get on the cold side. What types of gloves are recommended for waters in the 40-50 degree, ones that can be used for fishing, paddling, landing a fish? They should be workable for the tasks, dry and warm. |

Cold water diving gloves should work well. I've dove the west coast and yes after 30-40 min in the water it can be very cold. http://www.amazon.com/NeoSport-Wetsuits-Premium-Neoprene-Finger/dp/B002YQ9CN4/ref=sr_1_5?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1322004636&sr=1-5 |

Check out the fishing gloves section at Bass Pro Shops or other fishing store. They have a nice selection. |
