Hey Hobie experts... I am commissioning a custom carbon race hull for a kayak, and am planning on incorporating both a mirage drive, and a seat from an i12... can I purchase these items independently of a hull? I currently have a pair of i12's for touring / adventure travel, but I live in the Puget Sound area (two minutes from my local beach put-in) and I am looking to build a very fast 'yak to scratch the speed itch.

I did a quick search, but didn't see a post asking the question this directly.

Many thanks,

Nicholas

Cryder, you should be able to buy a drive and seat seperately. The place to start is the Parts & Accessories catalogue downloadable here
http://www.hobiecat.com/kayaks/accessories/
This should tell you what is available.

Will do - I plan to do a decent job documenting everything I do, and once I have some progress I'll start a thread with photos and drawings. Hopefully in the next week or two.
