Post subject:  Trailer an Outback?

I don't care for the idea of hauling my Outback in the bed of my pickup, so I'm thinking about transporting it bottom side down on a trailer with 2" pvc pipe, covered with carpet, as bunks lined up to rest in the channels either side of the center keel. Does anyone see problems with this method of transport? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Should be fine. I transport my Outback and my wife's Sport hull up on a trailer. I have rigged up a couple of rails made from 4 x 2 timber on the garden trailer that bolt on when needed. Very simple and effective, also means the trailer is available for other purposes.

Thank you for the response. You haven't noticed any problems associated with the slightly rounded hull being tied down to a flat surface?

If you need some ideas there are a few posts with pictures in the Pro Angler forum of guys that did the same thing or something similar
