Post subject:  Revolution Hatch Liner gets Wet
Hi Guys,
Has anyone experimented with making a seal for the hatch liner on Revolution?
Before the hatch liner I had no problems with water entering the hull, regardless of the size of the waves breaking over the bow.
But since fitting the hatch liner, even the smallest waves over the bow & I end up with a good cup or two of water in the liner itself.
Obviously there needs to be a seal betwine the lid & the liner, but I don't want to re-invent the wheel if someone has already been there.

It shouldn't take much - just line the upside lip of the liner with a thin piece of foam. Maybe weatherstripping material from your local home hardware.

Obviously what's happening is that the hatch cover isn't fitting flush all the way around the liner. A bit of foam should fill any slightly openings there and take care of the type leakage you mention.

Thanks Tom,
I went with your suggestion, Found a hollow rubber seal, sold by the length at a local rubber store.
Applied to the upper side of the insert lip with contact cement.
now when the lid is closed the rubber seals tight, even when blasting it with the garden hose, not a drop inside. :D Happy Now.
