Post subject: | Twist and Stow Rudder question |
It's me again, the newbie from Singapore. I forgot to raise the rudder when beaching the yak I think . When I was loading the yak unto the car, I realised that the rudder was completely detached . It was only hanging on by the spectra. I saw the black rudder pin was severly bent and dislodged. Bought some new rudder pins online which are grey - my original pin was black - should fit right? Anyhow I worked out the steering right/left issue quite well. I just retied the spectra - the knot came undone I think. The problem now is the up/down contraption. There is a lot of loose spectra for the up/down thingy. How do I tighten these up? Do I need to buy anything like a spectra assembly? See photos Thanks so much for your help. http://www.flickr.com/photos/76553378@N04/ |

The grey pins are the newest, mainly improved for sailing (Adventure Island). Take a look at this link below especially the bottom selection (Twist and Stow Connections detail) and then scroll down. It should show you what you need. Good luck. http://www.hobiecat.com/support/articles/archive/?src=http://2010.archive.hobiecat.com/support/tech/Twist-n-Stow_Repair_Manual.html |
