Sorry to hear about the Cancer thing. That has to be tough.

What surprised me about the Hobie liner vs the cut bucket is that other than a nicer top finish and a little more carrying capacity (cuz it fits the rectangular space a bit better), the Hobie liner isn't all that much nicer.

For some reason I had expected a liner that allowed more of the bow area to be used. On the other hand, Hobie's liner had to be engineered to fit through the hatch opening. No matter for me ...I just stick two fairly large dry bags in the front hatch and hope they don't migrate to other areas of the hull.

Not even gonna lie how much does hobie miss on selling accessories. My guess is it’s a lot. Often times at buying a 3k kayak the consumer may feel a plastic hatch liner should have been there from the jump. I love the yaks have only ever bought hobie and have 5. That said big pass on a now 100 dollar bucket to my door. I do feel many people are willing to be very petty like this over these items. Many sales missed on for sure due to this matter. I get it it’s a business need to make money and all that but hit us on the front side with the overall cost and stop back loading costs on things. For me a Chinese trash bucket it is I guess. I’ll be doing this on many boats thanks bro
