I am still working on my worn drive unit. Are there any blow-up diagrams of the old style drive? I have the catalog and it only shows new drive style parts. I know it has the list for older parts, but I need a blow up. Thanks, pearly |

I'll re-send tonight. In the meantime, part #24 is 8030100 (10 x 24 x 7/8"THMS. I believe this is a clevis pin. If it's the plastic u-shaped black piece (the pin goes through it) you're after, that would be item #1, part # 81040 (outhaul block). |

Hobie, being a sailboat manufacturer for so many years, was naturally well versed in all the nautical terms. So when the Mirage drive first appeared, they had to come up with names for all the parts. Since the fins reminded them of sails, they so named them and all the parts took their names from sail parts. For instance, the metal rod for the fin is called the mast. The rearmost attachment point of the fin is called the clew. The outhaul block, which the clew normally attaches to is symbolic of what you would find in the corresponding position on a sailboat. So, Avast, matey, once you get your sailing terminology down, twill all make sense!
